The famous runner Jim Ryun once said “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." I believe that is true. I was motivated to exercise so that I would feel better and be healthier. Exercising for four weeks now, it has started to feel like a habit. I have been good at exercising each day, in fact I didn’t miss a day this past week. One thing I have to work on though, is to do it at the same time everyday. That would help cement it into a routine.

I know my joints feel better, most days, and I am more flexible than I have been in a long time. For me, exercise is becoming an addictive mood enhancer.

Once the repairs were done, we went over to the RV show and talked with Alex at Lectric eBikes for a bit, checking the condition of the demo bike we are thinking of buying at the end of the show. It appears in good shape, and only has 32 miles on it so far. It sounds like a go on Sunday, pending their final price.

Afterward, we drove off through the big wash to show Lynn some of the mines. After pondering them, we headed through the desert to show her the Cone Cabins on the other side of the peak. There were some pretty steep, deep washes to get through, and we passed a couple more abandoned, ransacked motorhomes, but we made it. It was delightful to see it in the late afternoon sun with captivating views of the mountain ranges all around us.

We have some new neighbors where we are staying. They have been friendly, inviting, and great for conversation. They have a couple Lectric Ebikes, and one is the very model we are considering. They offered us to ride their ebikes around for an afternoon. It was wonderful being able to ride them in this environment: over the hills, through the washes, and down the road. It gave us a better feel for them and now we feel better about our choice. Special thanks to Gus and Joanne for the opportunity.

Today, we helped Lynn with her van. We took her new refrigerator out and set it up in our motorhome to see if it is the refrigerator or her power supply that is causing the issues with it not cooling consistently. This is a good test of the fridge. We straightened a brace for the driver’s side running board and added some screws to where it attaches to the rear wheel well. It feels much sturdier and hopefully she won’t have to worry about it falling off along the road. We also tightened the drain plug on her water heater to stop a slow drip that was happening. Lastly, we reattached the tread that was coming loose on the passenger side running board.

Tomorrow we may do some more exploring in the desert
