Up and down, up and down; is that the cadence of the exercise or the way the week has gone? I would say both. I have been out walking and exercising most days (one day was over 6 miles), but did miss two days this past week. The consequences of that are that I now have to add to my routine. I will be walking at least 2.5 miles each day, and I will be doing 30 push-ups along with the other exercises and stretches. I am determined to make this work. I am feeling better after doing the exercises, so it is worth it. I am worth it.

These are my measurements as of January 19, 2024.

Neck: 16.125

Chest: 43.5

Left bicep: 13.75

Right Bicep:13.75

Belly: 40.25

Waist: 38.25

Hips: 42.0

Left Thigh: 22.5

Right Thigh: 22.5

Left Calf: 16.25

Right Calf: 16.25

Not really any change, but I am in this for the long game.

Yesterday, we had a mobile mechanic in Quartzsite look at our slide problem. After inspecting it, he agreed that the slide would have to be removed to replace the rollers, which he is not equipped to do. We will keep looking at RV repair shops until the work gets done.

We also helped out a friend of Lynn’s with the cabinets in her van. I looked at it a couple weeks ago when she asked about fixing them. She has a 2017 Roadtrek 190 Popular van. They were splitting apart and sagging at the joints where they come together as they were only stapled together. One cabinet holds the microwave and we couldn’t see how to remove it. We asked her to give us a little time to research the cabinets so we could properly fix them and not do more damage. Flash ahead to yesterday when we both had time to repair them. I was able to find one source on the internet that told us how to remove the microwave, and it couldn’t be simpler. There are two screws on the underside of the cabinet that hold a board to which the microwave is mounted. After removing those screws, the microwave slid right out giving full access to the cabinet. After gluing the joints, we added four angle brackets along the upper edges where they were separating. We were able to pull them back together, anchor them to the ceiling, and eliminate the sagging. We also tightened the screws that hold the stainless steel chase on the underside of the cabinets. I felt good to dust off the old skills from our furniture repair days and help out a friend. She was grateful and slipped me a few dollars to show her appreciation.

Tomorrow, the big Quartzsite RV show begins... We hear there could be upwards of a million people attending. The roads don’t seem all that busy, but we may be in for a flashback to major event days in Pigeon Forge: roads that are more of a parking lot than amounting to get anywhere. Not to discount any of the vendors, but I hope it’s lighter on attendees than previous years.
